The Mathmatecum has increased its membership over the last year by 6.25 %!  All checks for 2024’s distribution have been mailed to members. An internal audit has been conducted. All Members monies are currently in bonds earning income or in a bank checking account. The total equals the amounts paid in to date plus the five years of income added according to the Mathmatecum plan.

The next change in interest rates that will directly affect the Mathmatecum occurs on May 1st! Until then watching rate changes on a daily basis is pointless. The next three months will see all efforts at the Mathmatecum going to adding new members. Political gyrations going on currently at the federal level should by May 1st be better understood. Let’s hope.

In the past I have called for a new socio-economic system which I call Formicalism .This is as opposed to the current systems: Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism. These three systems all have their champions and detractors. They have been at odds with each other for just too much time. All of the Isims claim to have been in power by virtue of the fact that they govern by consent to a social contract. No social contract between the governing and the governed allows for inequities, therefore the first rule for Formicalism is to create an equitable society. One person one vote should be a cornerstone of society and the equality of all persons before the law should be sacred.

Let’s begin at the beginning and by that, I mean Government does not exist in a vacuum but is in the real world. The real world dictates that money will pay for what is needed but where does it come from? The money should come from the collective wealth of the governed. No surprise then that Formicalism dictates a flat tax on all income received during any one calendar year. Government shall implement a system that makes sure no individual does not pay their fair share. Corporations are meant to pay also as if they were an individual. Governments are meant to provide for their citizens things such as personal protection from physical harm, protection from ill health, when needed all medical and dental care, a place to live. and food for the table! These are some highlights to be further explained in subsequent blogs.

Don’t forget to save this week! Put those dollars aside for all your anticipated needs and also those that are truly unexpected or untimely.
