May Day and here in Hawaii it’s also Lei Day! I stopped at Dr’s office first thing this morning and lots of staff were wearing leis. Triggered for me a reminder that not only are there changes in seasons but also in financial markets. Sometimes they occur on days specific e.g., the change in rates on I bonds: May 1st and November 1st. Another example would be stock reports given in a larger range of time, i.e. quarterly reports! I have been warning about an interest change that seemed to be heading in a downward direction for weeks. Sure enough that’s what occurred, the rate on I bonds went from 6.89% to 4.3%. The present realities of government guaranteed instruments dictates leaving members monies in I bonds. Unless markets change drastically that will be the case for at least the next six months.

Last week you were told about our ” Mathmatecum Directive”. It is a way to have more than just your personal membership fee earning you more money than your proportionate share of income. A member who wishes to become a director must be one of at least five people in the program. How it works is based on a dynastic distribution plan based on the Directors and the Mathmatecums contractual understanding.
BIO
The best part of writing a blog is that you are controlling content and you can move in a wide range. For me here in the Bio it consists of things that strike me from time to time. 1956 saw IBM invent the hard disk which allowed them to produce a computer that was smaller: sixteen square feet and about one ton. The laptop that I’m using to create this writing weighs about ten pounds and probably can outperform that old IBM305RAMAC. My smart phone is another example of the changes we have experienced in our lifetimes: devices getting smaller but more powerful!
I was now into my second year of being transported to school daily from two towns away. St. Cecilia High School was much like regional high school and classmates came from all over the county! Some students even came from NY state just over the border. Transportation was by public busses and for some of us the trips were long and necessitated changing busses. Englewood, NJ to New Milford, NJ at its best took at least two hours each way!
