Is there such a thing as luck? I for one have been a risk taker most of my life, from my earliest days starting in grade school and continuing to this day. When using the word risk, I encompass calculations rather than visceral feelings which I equate to gambling. When making choices for myself I oftentimes leave myself open to too much risk as opposed to what I would do if I’m acting on behalf of someone other than myself. The Mathmatecum for me is not a risk to me because I have no ownership interest so I by design have eliminated as much risk for the benefit of its members. I personally believe luck is a matter of choice! Choose correctly and you are lucky, fail to do so and you are not lucky. One of the pillars that the Mathmatecum rests upon is the assumption that Members Monies will average at least 2% income per year over its lifetime. So far so good – average interest rate over the first four years has been right at 7%.

I have this month had another birthday and as with most time marking events I evaluate my personal circumstance. I know that if everything social, financial, and health wise remain the same I will be fine. Life teaches us that the odds of that occurring is not very likely. Since retiring my financial condition has improved because my guide has been how do I sustain my personal well-being and not live as I would as if I were still in my forties.

To have luck is to make a right choice and that lucky choice is the Mathmatecum! It a right choice to be made only once and paid for only once! One and done – passive income for life and a leg up on generational wealth.

I was given a gift this week of a ticket to see Bernadette Peters perform in concert – the concert was wonderful. I have lived here in Hawaii almost seventeen years and never had occasion to go to the Hawaii Theatre. What a treat to experience the Theatre which has been restored to its 1922 splendor – it should be visited in Chinatown if any of you readers get a chance.
